TRAMEC CORPORATION AND MACLEAN CREWSON ANNOUNCE BUSINESS MERGER
 

Tramec Corporation of Iola, Kansas and MacLean Crewson of Buffalo, New York have signed a definitive agreement to merge their two businesses.  The new company will be known as Tramec LLC and will be headquartered in Iola, Kansas.   

Tramec LLC will be a combination of MacLean Crewson, a manufacturer of automatic and manual brake adjusters for the heavy duty tractor, trailer, and aftermarket, with Tramec Corporation, a manufacturer of air and electrical components, assemblies and their related accessories for the heavy duty tractor, trailer and aftermarket.  The merger of these two companies will provide customers with expanded product offerings. The transition to Tramec LLC will be transparent to all current and future business transactions.   

Sergio Campanini, Chairman of Tramec Corporation, has over 40 years of business leadership experience in the heavy duty market and stated, “With the addition of the brake adjuster line to Tramec’s product portfolio, we will be able to provide our customers with an enhanced and expanded line of product offerings backed by Tramec’s 28 years of industry experience.”  

Robert DiPonio, Vice President of Sales for Tramec Corporation, has over 30 years of brake adjuster sales experience and added, “This automatic brake adjuster is a superior, engineered product and is the original patented Crewson Brunner automatic brake adjuster from the 1990’s.  There have been significant engineering product design enhancements over the last few years that will provide our customers with a very robust and reliable automatic brake adjuster.”

MacLean, CEO and Chairman of the MacLean-Fogg Companies, commented, “The merger of MacLean Crewson and the Tramec Corporation will provide dynamic and proven products and resources to customers demanding exceptional design and outstanding performance.  Their ability to provide customers with this caliber of product engineered from years of expertise is a strategic asset for the marketplace.”
